The information below shows vaccinations eitherorfor Kenya. If there are no recommendations further to a fully completed childhood vaccination schedule, you will only see vaccinations “sometimes advised”
All recommendations assume users have fully completed all routine vaccinations and are up to date with all required boosters
Recommended Malaria  Prophylaxis with Lariam (mefloquine), Malarone (atovaquone/proguanil), or doxycycline is recommended for all areas except Nairobi and the highlands (above 2500 m) of Central, Eastern, Nyanza, Rift Valley, and Western Provinces.
Vaccination course recommended 3 Weeks prior to travel. Generally, a booster required 10 Years after course completion.
Hepatitis A Vaccination course recommended 2 weeks prior to travel. Generally, a booster required around 6 months – 1yr after course completion. Polio Polio courses are generally completed as part of a routine childhood immunisation program. Generally, a booster required initially 5 yrs after course completion then 10 yrs after last. Tetanus Vaccination course recommended 3 months prior to travel. Generally, a booster required initially 5 yrs after course completion then 10 yrs after last. Typhoid Vaccination course recommended at least 10 days prior to travel. Generally, a booster is required 3yrs after course completion. Yellow Fever Vaccination course recommended at least 10 days prior to travel. Generally, a booster required 10 yrs after course completion. Passengers not holding valid Yellow Fever certificates, if required, may be subject to quarantine. A vaccination against Yellow fever is required, if arriving in Kenya within 6 days after leaving or transiting countries with risk of yellow fever transmission. Sometimes advised Cholera Vaccination course recommended 2 months prior to travel. Generally, a booster required 2 years after course completion. If a child check with medical professional as booster schedule is dependent on age. Hepatitis B Vaccination course recommended 2 months prior to travel. The effective period of the vaccine is dependent on individual circumstances but is generally around 5 yrs after course completion. Meningococcal Infection Courses generally completed as part of a routine childhood immunisation program. In certain circumstances, a booster is required every 3 yrs. Rabies Vaccination course recommended 1 month prior to travel. Generally, a booster required 1- 2 yrs after course completion. Tuberculosis Vaccination course recommended 3 months prior to travel.
