A two-component pack comprising one can of liquid polyester resin (with characteristic sweet aromatic odour of styrene monomer) and a bag of hardener containing benzoyl peroxide.

2. COMPOSITION
Unsaturated polyester resin in styrene. Styrene (CAS No.100-42-5) approx 45% wt. EEC Symbol:
Powder containing silica flour (CAS No; 14808-60-7) and benzoyl peroxide (CAS No; 94-36-0).
3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Resin Component Harmful by inhalation. Irritating to eyes and skin May cause sensitisation by skin contact Flammable Flash Point 31oC. Filler/Hardener Component Harmful. Danger of serious damage to health by prolonged exposure. Possible long-term irreversible effects from inhalation of respirable crystalline silica. Contains dibenzoyl peroxide. May produce allergic reaction. Irritating to eyes. May cause fire.
4. FIRST AID MEASURES
Wipe off excess with absorbent disposable paper towels. Wash with plenty of soap and water. Do not use organic solvents.
Rinse immediately with water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention immediately.
Move affected person to fresh air. If recovery not rapid seek medical attention.
Immediately rinse mouth repeatedly with water. If swallowing has occurred do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention immediately.
5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
Suitable Extinguishers: Carbon dioxide, Foam and Dry powder. Do not use water. Fire fighters should wear breathing apparatus. Exposure hazards Do not release product into drains, soil or surface water. Dispose of contaminated soil etc. according to local regulations.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Personal Precautions Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Avoid breathing dust or vapours Avoid ignition sources. Environmental Precautions Prevent contamination of soil drains and surface water. Methods for Cleaning Take up with absorbent, dry inert material and place in a suitable and closable container for disposal by burning in an approved installation according to local regulations.

10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY

11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Resin Component Acute toxicity LD50: An oral LD50 in rats of 5g/kg has been reported for styrene. LC50: Inhalation in rats 12mg/litre/4hr (styrene). Skin Irritation: Irritating to skin. Eye irritation:
Harmful by inhalation. Concentrations above 100ppm may cause impairment of nervous system.
May cause sensitisation by skin contact. Filler/Hardener Component Possible long-term irreversible effects from inhalation of respirable crystalline silica. Irritating to eyes. May cause sensitisation by skin contact.
12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Prevent contamination of soil, drains or surface water. Styrene is harmful to aquatic organisms. No other specific information available.
13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS
Incineration in approved installation. Contaminated packaging material should be disposed of identically to the product itself. For easy disposal any unmixed resin and hardener can be mixed and allowed to cure. Once fully cured Certite Mortar can be disposed of as normal household waste. Uncontaminated packaging material should be treated as household waste or can be recycled.

15. REGULATORY INFORMATION
