Headwaters MB advises Consolidated Utility Services, Inc. on sale to Tricor Pacific Capital
Denver, CO – April 16, 2006 – Headwaters MB LLC, the Denver-based middle market investment banking firm, advised two private equity firms on the sale of their portfolio company, Consolidated
Utility Services, Inc. (“CUS”). CUS, a leader in the utility damage prevention industry, was acquired by private equity fund Tricor Pacific Capital, Inc. and Management. The principal selling shareholders were River Associates Investments, LLC and American Capital Strategies, Ltd. (Nasdaq: ACAS). Rob Karam, CEO of CUS, commented “Having integrated two mid-sized locating companies and developed an expanded suite of damage prevention services to utilities and telecom companies with the support of our prior ownership group, we are delighted to have Tricor as our new partner for the next stage of our growth in the US and Canada.” Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
