Dieses Pack-Puzzle besteht aus 7 verschiedenen Bauteilen, die zu einem Würfel zusammengesetzt werden sollen. Der dänische Dichter und Wissenschaftler Piet Hein (1905-1996 ) entwickelte die Idee bereits 1936 während einer Vorlesung bei Professor Heisenberg über Raumzerlegung. Es gibt 240 verschiedene Lösungen für einen Würfel. Neben diesen können noch eine Vielzahl von weiteren Baufiguren und eigenen Kreationen gefunden werden. This block puzzle consists of seven different wooden elements which are designed according to a common basic shape resembling the Arab numerals from one to seven. The puzzle is reported to have been invented by the Danish scientist and poet Piet Hein (1905-1996) whilst listening to a lecture on division of space in the early twentieth century. The object of the exercise is to assemble the 7 elements into a three dimensional cube. In addition to the forms given in the example, it is possible to create a great number of individual and personal forms. All the elements have to be used. The given suggestions are only some examples of the 240 known possibilities for this game. With a lot of patience and thought it is possible to create new figures. Le Cube Soma
Ce puzzle se compose de 7 pièces de construction différentes, qui doivent être assemblées afin de former un cube. Le poète et scientifique danois Piet Hein (1905-1996) avait déjà développé cette idée en 1936 lors d’un cours tenu par le Professeur Heisenberg traitant de la division de l’espace. Il y a 240 solutions différentes pour un cube. En plus de celles-ci, il est possible de découvrir ou de créer bien d’autres figures. Seules quelques solutions, formées à partir des 7 éléments, se trouvent en exemple.
