The Finnish Aesthetic Teaching Symposium has a long history of hands-on teaching in plastic surgery.
Many internationally well-known plastic surgeons have attended our meetings and presented the latest
techniques in aesthetic surgery. Just to mention a few: Gilbert Aiach, Ricardo Baroudi, Louis Benelli, Thi-
erry Besins, Giovanni Botti, Henri Delmar, Robert Ersek, Yhelda Felicio, Antonio Fuente del Campo, José
Guerrerosantos, Elizabeth J. Hall-Findlay, Per Hedén, Gerald Illouz, Darina Krastinova, Jacques Levignac,
William J. Little, Deirdre Marschall, Riccardo Mazzola, Constantino C. Mendieta, Rodolfe Meyer, Fredrick
Nicolle, Julien Reich, Kirill Pshenisnov, Osvaldo Saldanha, Luiz S. Toledo, Frank Trepsat, Carlos Uebel.
The aim of our meetings has been to update plastic surgeons in current surgical practices and to em-
phasize the underlying anatomical and functional principles of procedures. Participants will benefit from
the experience and skills of these senior colleagues not only by listening to their presentations but also
by observing and assisting in operations. Live surgery will be beamed directly into the auditorium. The
guest speakers will not only discuss the subjects, they will perform their techniques live. You will be able
to follow the operation in the conference room and communicate with the surgeon in the operation room.
Because of the hands on nature of the meeting we will have to limit the number of participants to 30. We
welcome you all to Siluetti and to the beautiful city of Helsinki, The Daughter of The Baltic.
Siluetti is a modern, private hospital in the centre of Helsinki. The hospital was designed for plastic sur-
gery and has the latest equipment necessary for the most complicated procedures. Plastic surgery is only
performed by highly qualified plastic surgeons assisted by equally experienced nurses and other medi-
cal staff. The hospital performs microsurgical, laser, cranio-maxillofacial, orthognatic, bone distraction,
secondary facial surgery, reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery etc. The patients are evaluated pre
and post operatively by a multidisciplinary team of physicians and other health care specialists if needed.
This team approach ensures maximal safety and optimal operative results for the patient. (www.siluetti.fi)
The registration is limited to 30 participants.
