Program Adjourned Program Overview Objectives: Upon completion of this activity participants should be able to:
1. Identify several new medications marketed over the last two years; 2. Describe the place in therapy of these new medications, based upon the STEPS approach; 3. Distinguish these new medications compared to other available drugs and; 4. Recall information necessary for patient education and counseling regarding these new medications.
Activity Type: Knowledge based. Continuing Education Credit: Continuing Education credit has been approved for 0.4live continuing education units (CEUs)/4 contact hours of live continuing education. Participants must complete and return the learning assessment packet (participant form, program and speaker evaluations and learning assessment questions) and the audience response clicker at the end of the program to receive credit for this activity. Effective 1/1/2014 we will no longer be printing and mailing statements of credit. If needed, statements of credit can be print by going to your NABP CPE Monitor account. Target Audience: Practicing pharmacists, and pharmacy students. Registration: The registration fee for this activity is $80 and includes tuition, a PDF of program handouts, continental breakfast, and boxed lunch. The deadline for registration is Friday, January 31, 2014. Registrations received after the deadline will be charged an additional $10.00. IMPORTANT NEW REGISTRATION INFORMATION: On-line registration will be available for those wishing to register using a credit card or voucher. Cancellations and Refunds: Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences reserves the right to cancel a program due to factors such as inclement weather or insufficient registrations. Refunds, less a $10 administrative fee, will be issued for cancellations received before 3:00 p.m. on January 31, 2014.
